Open Enrollment for the 2008-2009 School Year
Families are invited to call for a private tour; inquire about tuition assistance.
Old Orchard School is now accepting applications for the coming school year on a rolling basis. We have a very limited number of openings in our younger grades, and some in the older grades. Tuition assistance opportunities for our younger grades have been filled. We have not exhausted these resources for older grades and encourage families who believe an independent, private school education beyond their means to inquire. (Click here for map.)

Students Lift
Spirits of Oil Spill Workers Thank you cards inspire a
call and an invitation from Coast Guard Admiral. OOS
Middle School students were at science camp in the Marin Headlands when
the Costco Busan hit the Bay Bridge. When the spill prevented some
students from going on a tide pool expedition and they saw their first
oil-slicked bird, they had an idea. They sat down
and wrote and illustrated thank you notes to the Coast Guard and others
helping clean up the mess and save wildlife. The cards were shared at
clean-up crew meetings and inspired a call from the admiral and an
invitation to see rescued birds released at Half Moon Bay. Read
reactions to the cards at the Coast Guard
website; or see our students interviewed at the bird
release on NBC 11. Old
Orchard Voted Bay Area Best (again) Thanks to
our families and friends. Bay Area
Parent Magazine has named Old Orchard School "best" elementary
school for 2006. Old Orchard has won this honor four times in the past
five years, including 2005. We are, naturally, delighted and wish to say
thanks to our many supporters for their continued confidence in and
enthusiasm for our program. | Headlines
