Visit Old Orchard
Open Houses
For the 2009-2010 school year, Open House will be held on the following dates:
- Saturday, November 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Saturday, January 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Open House is held at our
Lower School Campus; tours of the Upper School Campus will also be available.
At Open House, all of our teachers, administrators and some of our students and parents are available to answer questions, show the work our students are doing and to take you through our classrooms. While we always encourage families to schedule a school-day tour to see our classes in "action," Open House is a great opportunity to see the big picture, from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade. It gives you a great idea where our program leads, whether your family is looking at Pre-K or considering a Middle School transition.
Your entire family is invited to attend Open House. We provide lots of substantial finger food, so don't worry about going hungry.
Private Tours
Old Orchard encourages all prospective families to schedule a school-day tour our campuses. This gives you an opportunity to see our teachers and students "in action," check out our facilities, speak with teachers and administrators - and pose whatever questions you may have.
During the school year, tours are scheduled in the mornings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Tours typically begin around 9 a.m. and last about an hour; they include a walk through our facilities, an opportunity to visit with administrators and teachers, and an opportunity to observe academic classes in session.
During the summer, tours are offered by appointment Monday through Thursday. Naturally, we are unable to show you our classrooms in action, but we are able to put you in touch with teachers and parents.
To schedule a tour, contact admission coordinator Melissa Greene at (408) 378-5935. You may also contact Ms. Greene via email; please be sure to include your full name and contact information.
If you wish to visit both our Lower School (Pre-K-Grade 5) and Upper School (Grades 6-8) campuses during your tour please be sure to tell us when you call so we can make the appropriate arrangements.
