About financial aid/tuition assistance

Old Orchard School is able to offer a limited amount of financial aid to families who are not able to pay full tuition. Families receiving tuition assistance are expected to pay at least partial tuition and all school fees and field trip costs.

The school does not have the resources to offer aid to every eligible family and aid is more likely to be available in older grades. Admission decisions are not influenced by a family's need for support - a student who is qualified for admission will be offered a spot if a space is available, whether or not the school is also able to offer tuition assistance.

Typically, families are asked to reapply for tuition assistance each year. If your family's financial situation has not change, the school will do everything in its power to renew financial aid for your child.

To apply for financial aid/tuition assistance

Applications for assistance will not be considered unless the family has also submitted a complete Application for Admission. Evaluating financial aid is very time consuming and the admission application assures the school that the family is serious about attending Old Orchard.

To apply for assistance, please complete the following steps.

1. Inform the school that you are applying for financial aid. This will let us know to look for your application and let us know who you are if we have not previously had the opportunity to meet you.
2. Complete an online aid application with SSS online. This is a service which helps private schools determine financial need. When prompted, enter 4868 as Old Orchard's identification code. A $15 fee is required.
3. Provide Old Orchard with the following:
   
   • The most recent federal income tax return for both parents.
   • A statement informing Old Orchard how much you are able to afford in tuition.
   • If you have time or skills to lend the school, please share that information with us as well.
