Martin Luther King Jr. Project
Each year our first graders study Martin Luther King Jr. and prepare and present their own "I Have a Dream" speeches. In honor of Rev. King, they will be giving their speeches in class next week. Here you can see the portraits they painted of Rev. King giving the original "Dream" speech. Quite an acheivement for six and seven-year old children!
High praise is due as well to First Grade teacher Jenny Crotty and art teacher Russell Powell who lead their students through this inspiring project each year.
